20-Second Synopsis

A bacterium engineered to produce a drug to cure introversion escapes its corporate lab, causing a zombie epidemic that engulfs the globe. In response, the remnants of the world’s superpowers unleash an army of automated military drones to hunt and kill infected humans. The uninfected survivors must struggle against both rapacious zombies and tyrannous machines to survive.

The Project

The idea is for a group of writers to follow the lives of people in very different parts of the world, from before the zombie outbreak to after the machines achieve independence. Only the “big picture” events have been sketched out for them, to provide a common framework and maintain broad continuity. Specific details are up for grabs, and might work themselves out differently in different parts of the world.
